Holding the Line: When the “Great Change” Feels Like a Long Wait

For decades, many of us who identify as lightworkers have been holding a quiet vigil. We’ve felt the energetic shifts, read the channeled messages, and followed timelines offered by beautiful souls like Blossom Goodchild. We've been told the "Great Event" is coming, that a monumental shift is just around the corner, that the veil is thinning and a new era is about to begin. We’ve held on, sometimes for years, sometimes for our entire lives.
And yet, here we are. The 3D world, for all its incremental changes, seems largely the same.
This is the central paradox of our journey: we feel the truth of Source in every fibre of our being, yet we are left to comprehend a world that doesn’t seem to be changing as fast as our hearts were told it would.
Honouring the Journey, Not Just the Destination
It’s easy to feel a sense of fatigue, even a touch of disillusionment, when a promised event doesn’t happen. This isn’t a sign of weak faith; it's a testament to the raw human experience of patience. Let's start by honouring that. Let's acknowledge the quiet courage it takes to keep showing up, to keep holding space, to keep believing in a world that isn't yet visible.
This isn’t about dismissing the prophecies or the sincerity of those who share them. It’s about acknowledging that our spiritual path isn't a race to a finish line. The true work has been happening all along, hidden in plain sight.
The Real Revolution Is Within Us
While we’ve been waiting for a singular, external event, a quiet revolution has been building beneath the surface of our collective consciousness. Think about it: twenty or thirty years ago, conversations about plant medicine, channeling, energy healing, and spiritual ascension were relegated to the fringes. Today, they are entering the mainstream. You can find meditation apps on every phone, crystal shops in suburban malls, and serious conversations about consciousness on major podcasts.
That is the shift.
Perhaps the great change isn't a single, cataclysmic event, but a slow, gentle saturation. The golden age isn't a flip of a switch; it is a gradual awakening, one person at a time, one conversation at a time. The prophecies, in a way, served their purpose by keeping us alert, aligned, and open. They were like spiritual exercises, building our muscles for the long journey ahead.
The Tension Is Where the Growth Happens
This is the beautiful tension you and I feel: our soul knows the infinite truth of Source, yet our human mind craves tangible proof. The ego wants to see the milestone, the outcome, the clear sign that we are on the right track. This feeling of being caught between two worlds is precisely where our growth happens. It is the crucible where faith is truly forged.
So, where do we go from here?
We keep going. We walk our path not because we are waiting for a prophesied event to prove us right, but because it feels true in our hearts. We honour the journey that has brought us to this point, celebrating the quiet changes within ourselves and in the world around us. We hold the line not out of obligation, but out of a deep and knowing trust that the divine plan is unfolding exactly as it should.
The shift is not an event we are waiting for—it is the very act of walking with light.

Yes! Spot on with what I have been feeling as well. I will feel the change in my heart, know with all of my heart that it is coming, and I am so excited and eager for the change to happen. My human mind is expecting it to be right around the corner. But years and even decades later....still crickets! 😆 I have to take a step back and remind myself to look at the bigger picture. Like you say, the change is happening all around us!
